One of the things which was hoped to have happened this year was cameras mounted on the climbers (or at the top of the tether) to show a different perspective of a Climb.
For whatever reason, it didn’t happen with the exception of one climb from the KC Space Pirates which had a camera mounted on the Climber. It’s very reminiscent of those cameras that are put on the Shuttle when it launches (though not to the same scale, of course). Brian Turner from the Space Pirates put this video on YouTube – it’s mega-cool…

I have this in high def if anyone is interested. This run stopped short of the top because I was standing on the bottom belay rope and would have tripped myself in less than a second. The next two runs were not as magical as this first one even though they went higher. I managed to press the wrong button on our famous Sunday run and did not get anything. I have not yet processed the monday runs. But we took the camera off for the one that went all the way to the top. So I suspect that this will be the best one. The Climber cam sponsor was Andy Mark design and I own them a plug because I did not get their logo on until Wends. They made our custom sprocket.
