Just a quick update on some blog maintenance and cool finds for space elevator enthusiasts!

I’ve finally finished clearing out all of the sidebar dead links – there were so many, sigh. In the future, I’ll be working on adding back a few of the more noteworthy ones via the Wayback machine as time permits. A link I want to highlight is in the Space Elevator Humor section. Four comedians (Louis Katz, Chris Garcia, Alex Koll & Sean Keane) created 40 short (about 1 minute long, each) comedy sketches of four passengers in an Elevator – to Space. These were created some 15 years ago and were posted on Vimeo. They disappeared and I thought they were lost but then I found them on YouTube. The sidebar link is to the Playlist. They really are funny (IMHO of course) and well worth a visit. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I’m particularly fond of this one.

And finally, I received a comment from Chris Hibbert who informed me that he has updated the information on the Wikipedia Space Elevator Competitions page (which I didn’t know existed). Thanks Chris! I’ve added this link to the Reference Sites section on the sidebar.
