{"id":854,"date":"2007-11-04T02:26:40","date_gmt":"2007-11-04T07:26:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=854"},"modified":"2007-11-04T02:26:40","modified_gmt":"2007-11-04T07:26:40","slug":"sweeties-at-the-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=854","title":{"rendered":"Sweeties at the Games"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There were several children at the Spaceward Games this year and I&#8217;m finally getting around to posting some pictures and videos that I have taken of them.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve already posted the video\u00a0of Jeffrey\u00a0Leafblad entertaining us with his juggling <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=798\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here are two extremely cute little girls we were fortunate enough to have at the Games.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/media\/2007SEGames\/DSC00243NoRedeye.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" width=\"200\" src=\"\/media\/2007SEGames\/tn_DSC00243NoRedeye.jpg\"  height=\"113\" style=\"width: 200px; height: 113px\" \/><\/a>The first is Corin Turner, age 7, daughter of Brian Turner (captain of the Kansas City Space Pirates) and his wife Cindy.\u00a0 She is standing in front of one of the posters in Building 1 (the office building).\u00a0 Look at that smile!\u00a0 She is wearing several of the very popular Kansas City Space Pirates tattoos &#8211; Brian tells me she didn&#8217;t take them off for a week!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/iamges\/2007SEGames\/DSC00290.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" width=\"200\" src=\"\/media\/2007SEGames\/tn_DSC00290.jpg\"  height=\"113\" style=\"width: 200px; height: 113px\" \/><\/a>And the second is Dorothy Nugent, age 3&amp;1\/2, daughter of Tom Nugent Jr. (Project manager of the LaserMotive team and well known to everyone from his LiftPort days) and his wife Elizabeth.\u00a0 Dorothy is the source of the famous line; &#8220;Daddy, I have to make Poopies.&#8221; chronicled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lasermotive.com\/blog\/?p=58\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I think they&#8217;re both going to be heart-breakers when they get older \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>(As always, click on the thumbnails for a larger version of the picture)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There were several children at the Spaceward Games this year and I&#8217;m finally getting around to posting some pictures and videos that I have taken of them.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve already posted the video\u00a0of Jeffrey\u00a0Leafblad entertaining us with his juggling here.
