{"id":446,"date":"2006-11-18T01:30:29","date_gmt":"2006-11-18T06:30:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=446"},"modified":"2006-11-18T01:30:29","modified_gmt":"2006-11-18T06:30:29","slug":"rulebooks-for-next-years-space-elevator-games-now-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=446","title":{"rendered":"Rulebooks for next year&#8217;s Space Elevator Games now available!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\"  src=\"\/media\/elevator2010logo.jpg\" class=\"alignleft\" \/>The initial Rulebooks for next year&#8217;s Climber (Power Beaming) and Tether competitions have been posted by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elevator2010.com\">Elevator2010<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0To quote Ben Shelef,\u00a0Elevator2010 CEO; &#8220;<em>We&#8217;re taking public comments on the rulebooks, [and] will post 1.0 rulebooks by the end of the month<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Climber (Power Beaming) rulebook can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elevator2010.com\/site\/documents\/climber_rulebook_2007.0.92.pdf\">here<\/a> and the Tether rulebook can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elevator2010.com\/site\/documents\/tether_rulebook_2007.0.96.pdf\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 Of course, both are available on the Elevator2010 website.<\/p>\n<p>One new item noted on the Elevator2010 website is a Climber competition for newbies; &#8220;<em>If you are a new team, and only want to try your hand at it, we have the &#8220;limited&#8221; games, in which no money is on the line (as of yet&#8230;), the metric is 1 m\/s, and the height is comparable to this year&#8217;s games.
