{"id":1597,"date":"2014-02-03T00:07:52","date_gmt":"2014-02-03T05:07:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=1597"},"modified":"2014-02-03T00:07:52","modified_gmt":"2014-02-03T05:07:52","slug":"climb-call-for-papers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=1597","title":{"rendered":"CLIMB &#8211; Call for Papers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"\/media\/CLIMBVol1FrontCover.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/tn_CLIMBVol1FrontCover.png\" class=\"alignright\" height=\"200\"  width=\"153\" \/><\/a>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.isec.org\" target=\"_blank\">International Space Elevator Consortium (ISEC)<\/a> has issued its official\u00a0<u>Call for Papers<\/u> for Volume 3 of <strong>CLIMB<\/strong>, the Space Elevator Journal.<\/p>\n<p>Volumes 1 and 2 of <strong>CLIMB<\/strong> were published in 2011 and 2013, respectively, and ISEC is targeting August of this year for the publication of Volume 3.<\/p>\n<p>You can find the official <u>Call for Papers<\/u> document <a href=\"http:\/\/www.isec.org\/CLIMB\/Vol3No1\/CLIMBVol3CallForPapers.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>, giving details as to the subject matter desired and the submission \/ publication process and schedule here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/media\/CLIMBVol2FrontCover.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/tn_CLIMBVol2FrontCover.png\" class=\"alignleft\" height=\"200\"  width=\"153\" \/><\/a>Abstracts are required first and should be accepted before Papers are submitted (details are in the Call for papers announcement).\u00a0 For the most up-to-date information, please visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.isec.org\/index.php\/resources\/isec-journal\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>CLIMB<\/strong> page<\/a> on the ISEC website.<\/p>\n<p>Questions can be emailed to climb [at] isec.org.<\/p>\n<p>Volume 1 of <strong>CLIMB<\/strong> was the &#8220;Yuri Artsutanov&#8221; edition while Volume 2 of <strong>CLIMB<\/strong> was the &#8220;Jerome Pearson edition&#8221;.\u00a0 Volume 3 will be dedicated to the man who almost certainly popularized this concept more than anyone else, Sir Arthur C.
