{"id":1453,"date":"2010-12-10T23:06:33","date_gmt":"2010-12-11T05:06:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=1453"},"modified":"2010-12-10T23:06:33","modified_gmt":"2010-12-11T05:06:33","slug":"laser-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=1453","title":{"rendered":"LASER 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/JSEALASERLogo.png\" width=\"110\" class=\"alignleft\" height=\"128\"  \/>On November 21st, the Japan Space Elevator Association (JSEA) held another of their LASER (<strong>L<\/strong>ego bricks <strong>A<\/strong>ctivity and <strong>S<\/strong>pace <strong>E<\/strong>levator <strong>R<\/strong>ace) competitions.\u00a0 Mr. Hideyuki Natsume, a Director at JSEA, informs me that 36 teams with more than 100 people participated and that the competition theme was &#8220;payload-juice can&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/tn_IMG_8422.jpg\" width=\"184\" class=\"alignright\" height=\"200\"  \/>The LASER website is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jsea.jp\/node\/962\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> and they have posted several photos on Picasweb which you can access <a href=\"http:\/\/picasaweb.google.com\/craftact\/LASER2010Agora02?authkey=Gv1sRgCLu8sK7ygZeEFA\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 The event looked like a lot of fun and I&#8217;m sure all the contestants and spectators had a great time.\u00a0 JSEA is to be again congratulated on holding another successful event!<\/p>\n<p>And, incidentally, their annual JSETEC conference (which I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=1451\" target=\"_blank\">posted about<\/a> earlier) should be underway as I write this.\u00a0 I look forward to being able to post details about this conference when I receive them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On November 21st, the Japan Space Elevator Association (JSEA) held another of their LASER (Lego bricks Activity and Space Elevator Race) competitions.\u00a0 Mr. Hideyuki Natsume, a Director at JSEA, informs me that 36 teams with more than 100 people participated and that the competition theme was &#8220;payload-juice can&#8221;.
