{"id":1390,"date":"2010-05-14T17:37:20","date_gmt":"2010-05-14T23:37:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=1390"},"modified":"2010-05-14T17:37:20","modified_gmt":"2010-05-14T23:37:20","slug":"the-artsutanov-and-pearson-prizes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=1390","title":{"rendered":"The Artsutanov and Pearson prizes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The deadline for the abstract submission for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.isec.info\/research#prizes\" target=\"_blank\">Artsutanov and Pearson prizes<\/a> has been moved back from May 15th to May 31st.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve received several entries for both prizes already, but have also received a couple of requests to extend the abstract deadline.\u00a0 We can do this for a couple of weeks, but no longer&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So, if you&#8217;ve not already done so, you can still submit an abstract to enter the competition.\u00a0 Remember, the winners will receive a monetary prize ($1,500 for the Pearson prize and $2,500 for the Artsutanov prize) as well as airfare and lodging and free admission to the upcoming <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorconference.org\" target=\"_blank\">Space Elevator Conference<\/a> (Aug 12-15) .<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t delay &#8211; the abstract deadline will not be extended again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The deadline for the abstract submission for the Artsutanov and Pearson prizes has been moved back from May 15th to May 31st.
