The general purpose is to provide a structure for collaborative work on the space elevator<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In the last few weeks, Markus Landgraf has posted a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/spaceelevatorwiki.com\/wiki\/index.php\/SER_1_1\">review<\/a> of current \/ relevant\u00a0Carbon Nanotube (CNT) literature.\u00a0 This is a long-overdue\u00a0task and I&#8217;m very glad to see that Markus has taken the time and effort to put this data together.\u00a0 There are some very cool articles in his review including;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>In situ Observations of Catalyst Dynamics during Surface-Bound Carbon Nanotube Nucleation<\/em>&#8221; where you can see pictures of carbon nanotubes actually being created and<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Strong and Ductile Colossal Carbon Tubes withWalls of Rectangular Macropores<\/em>&#8221; where Markus describes a material (Colossal Carbon Tubes) which might, today, be strong enough to build a space elevator with.
