It’s been a while since I’ve inflicted<\/del> shown you Space Elevator related videos I’ve found on YouTube.\u00a0 No, this is not the Jay Leno version of “Videos I’ve found on YouTube”, it’s mine…<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
This first video is of the ‘future history’ variety,\u00a0talking about Space Elevators in the 31st century: (Note – updated on 03APR09 at the request of the author of the video, Erich St\u00fcssi.\u00a0 He emailed me to tell me that the video I had posted was just the ‘rough cut’ of a school assignment.\u00a0 The one below is the final version.\u00a0 Thanks for the update Erich.)<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

This second video is of YerbY,\u00a0another musician\u00a0singing about a Space Elevator.\u00a0 This YouTube version is the ‘solo acoustic’\u00a0version of his song, Space Elevator (on the album called “Space Elevator”).\u00a0He also has\u00a0a website<\/a> where he has an orchestral version of this song plus some\u00a0clips of other tunes on the album.\u00a0 From his website:<\/p>\n

My album Space Elevator is the culmination of the writing I did\u00a0during most of 2008. On the album, I sought not to write your average pop\u00a0songs. There are no repeating choruses or verses. Every word of the lyrics\u00a0was stated with care. I arranged the instruments with the goal of letting\u00a0each song unfold gradually from beginning to end, hopefully taking the\u00a0listener through the same journey I went through in writing it. Also,\u00a0there is no “filler” on the album; I worked tirelessly on each song until\u00a0I felt it expressed the idea I intended to convey. I posted the few songs\u00a0above to provide stylistic samples; I wrote Space Elevator hoping for it\u00a0to be heard as a complete work.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Finally,\u00a0saving the best for last, is the Space Elevator Games recap \/ teaser put\u00a0together by the Chicago video production<\/a> company Bitter Jester Creative, Inc.\u00a0 If you were at the last Games, you undoubtedly\u00a0saw this group, filming everything in sight and interviewing almost everyone\u00a0in site.\u00a0 They are putting together a video about the Space Elevator Games\u00a0with an emphasis on the human side rather than the technical side (though\u00a0that will be shown, too).I\u00a0really, really like this video and I can’t wait to\u00a0see their final product.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
