First of all, a new video has been posted on YouTube.\u00a0\u00a0This is not the first Line Rider<\/a> video I’ve seen, but it’s the first one I’ve seen with a Space Elevator in it.<\/p>\n [youtube]http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kG2P92cLYrE[\/youtube]<\/p>\n .<\/p>\n Next we have this\u00a0blog post<\/a> by Mike Brotherton (“Rocket Scientists are Stupid Smart People”)<\/em> relating to Space Travel, Space Elevators and the short-sightedness of some people\u00a0which, IMHO,\u00a0very effectively replies to this article<\/a> in Wired.com (“Rocket Scientists Say We’ll Never Reach the Stars”).<\/em>\u00a0 Mark is\u00a0clearly a kindred spirit…<\/p>\n Finally, a portion of a \u00a0review<\/a> (in Christianity Today<\/em> no less) of Joe Haldeman’s new book “Marsbound”<\/a><\/em> mentions;<\/p>\n “As the story opens, Carmen Dula and her family have been chosen by lottery for a six-year trip to Mars. On the beach, waiting for the Space Elevator that will left them up to their space ship, she meets a man, fifteen years older, named Paul Collins\u2014who turns out to be the pilot who will fly them to Mars.
