{"id":1074,"date":"2008-08-21T01:56:00","date_gmt":"2008-08-21T06:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=1074"},"modified":"2008-08-21T01:56:00","modified_gmt":"2008-08-21T06:56:00","slug":"new-translations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spaceelevatorblog.com\/?p=1074","title":{"rendered":"New translations&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Additional translations for &#8220;Space Elevator&#8221; have been added to the Translation Project tab.<\/p>\n<p>First, we now have the pronounciation for the Hindi translation, &#8216;Anthariksh elevator&#8217;.\u00a0 This was sent to me by Ravi Shankar (he of\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kcspacepirates.com\/\">KC Space Pirates<\/a> fame, not the Sitar player \ud83d\ude42 )<\/p>\n<p>Next, we now have a Latin translation; Ascensor ad astra.\u00a0 This was sent to me by Martin Lades, an organizer of the recent Space Elevator Conference and also a member of the KC Space Pirates team).<\/p>\n<p>We now also have a Hebrew translation (ma&#8217;alit Khalal) courtesy of Ben Shelef (he of the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spaceward.org\">Spaceward Foundation<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Ben introduced me to &#8220;Leet speak&#8221; &#8211; something which I was unfamiliar with.\u00a0 There are several possible versions of Space Elevator in &#8220;Leet&#8221;, but the one from the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.brenz.net\/l337Maker.asp\">Brenz.net<\/a> Speak Converter gives us 5P4(3 3L3\\\/470R<\/p>\n<p>This makes 31 translations &#8211; only about a million more to go \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Additional translations for &#8220;Space Elevator&#8221; have been added to the Translation Project tab.
